2024 Alessandro Rivetto Langhe Nebbiolo, Piedmont, Italy 🇮🇹
The Moment
Some Nebbiolos are built around softness.
Others are built around line.
The 2024 Alessandro Rivetto Langhe Nebbiolo feels like the kind of bottle that gives you the soul of Nebbiolo in a slightly more immediate, table-ready form — floral, structured, and clearly Piedmontese from the first pour. A wine with ruby red color and light brick-red highlights, an intense, persistent, and elegant nose that recalls dried flowers, raisin, and licorice, and a palate with fine, rich structure and good tannins.
This is 100% Nebbiolo from the best positions in Serralunga d’Alba, grown on clay-limestone soils from 30–35 year old Guyot-trained vines. That already points toward a wine with real shape, but the cellar work reinforces it: 10 days of maceration, followed by at least 12 months in oak barrels, then bottle rest in temperature-controlled rooms before release. It is not Barolo, but it clearly comes from the same family — a wine with structure, perfume, and purpose.
What It Feels Like
Think pasta with ragù, roasted meat on the table, and a bottle that makes dinner feel just a little more formal in the best way.
What makes this wine work is that it keeps Nebbiolo’s defining traits intact while staying more approachable than the grander appellations. The dried flowers and licorice bring that unmistakable varietal perfume, while the fine, rich structure and good tannins give it a little grip and seriousness. A wine for customers who want the elegance and savory depth of Nebbiolo without necessarily stepping all the way into Barolo pricing or ritual.

Why We Love This Bottle
A Very Clear Expression Of Nebbiolo
Dried flowers, licorice, fine structure, and tannin is a great shorthand for what makes Nebbiolo so distinctive, and this wine sounds very true to that identity.
Serralunga Fruit Gives It Extra Shape
Because the fruit comes from the best positions in Serralunga d’Alba, this feels like Langhe Nebbiolo with a little extra backbone and seriousness.
A Great Step Into The Barolo Family
This has enough tannin, perfume, and oak aging to satisfy Nebbiolo lovers, but should still be easier to approach than a full Barolo.
